Mathematics Department

The Mathematics Department at Spartanburg Community College is committed to providing quality instruction. We serve all programs at SCC. Our courses are taught by faculty with excellent credentials who are committed to helping students experience success.

Mathematics course offerings include Beginning Algebra through Calculus as well as Probability and Statistics and Contemporary Mathematics. Many of our math courses are college-level courses and will transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

Students planning to transfer for a four-year degree should structure their own curriculum in conferences with advisors. It is the responsibility of each student to make sure that the classes he/she takes are acceptable for the four-year college of his/her choice. Transfer bulletins showing equivalent courses are available. For a list of courses on the Statewide Articulation Agreement, refer to page 30 in the Spartanburg Community College 2009-2010 Catalog.
