Curriculum
Program Description
Networking operations students develop skills to design, build and maintain small to medium-sized computer networks.
Gainful Employment Disclosure information
This program falls under Gainful Employment Disclosure regulations, a
rule by the U.S. Education Department. Each program that falls under these regulations is required to report:
- Occupation, SOC code, and links to profile on O*NET
- Costs – tuition/fees and books/supplies
- On-time graduation (completion) rate for program.
- Job placement rate for students completing program
- Median
loan debt incurred by students as provided by ED (identified separately
as Title IV loan debt and private educational loan debt)
Practical Experience
Students complete lab projects using Cisco devices such as switches and routers. They develop communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Network technician, cable technician and Cisco Certified Network Associate
Unique Aspects
This program utilizes course materials from the Cisco Networking Academy Program, a cooperative venture between colleges, high schools, vocational centers and Cisco (the world leader in networking for the Internet.) Graduates of this program are prepared to complete the certification exam offered by Cisco systems to become a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Acceptance into this certificate program requires the permission of the department head.
