Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Students who attended another college or
university and never attended SCC

• Complete and submit a SCC Application for Admission,
  
• Provide SAT or ACT scores that meet the college’s minimum requirement or complete the ASSET or COMPASS skills assessment. Applicants with previous college credit may exempt all or a portion of the skills assessment.
  
• Be 18 years of age or older and have earned a high school diploma or a GED. Applicants who have earned an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution are not required to verify high school graduation or the equivalent provided official college transcripts are submitting indicating the highest degree earned. 
  
• Request an official copy of all transcripts be sent to the SCC Admissions Center from other colleges or universities attended. (If transfer credit evaluation is desired, your official college transcripts will be forwarded to the registrar for evaluation.)
  
• Meet with an admissions counselor for official acceptance to the college.
